Hope Counseling and Healing provides individual counseling for women in-person in Santa Cruz and through telehealth appointments throughout California focusing on anxiety, trauma, OCD, perfectionism, codependency, people-pleasing and attachment issues.

Whether you're returning to individual counseling because of a new challenge or new stage of your life, or this is the first time reaching out for help, I congratulate you on your courage in taking this step. I'm well aware of how daunting it can be to find a therapist who you feel is a "good fit" for the things you want to work on in your life and many people simply don't know what to look for in a successful therapeutic experience.  While titles and degrees are important, trust and feeling understood are always the biggest indicators of "good" therapy as well as feeling you are making progress in the areas of your life you want to change. Lastly, and most importantly, what we put into therapy is what we will often get out of it. Therapy has the ability to create deep and lasting change, but it's always dependent on the willingness, openness and commitment of each individual.

I am excited to have the opportunity to work with you on your journey using a variety of techniques such as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), and Inner Child Work, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brainspotting, Exposure Response Prevention, and trauma and somatic-informed therapy, that are proven in helping to move you into clarity and action while feeling supported in the process.
