Counseling for Grief

Hope Counseling and Healing provides individual counseling for grief and loss. Counseling for grief and loss is a powerful resource in any grieving process as there can be a sense of overwhelm, isolation and not feeling anyone can understand what we are going through. We can experience grief after the loss of a loved one, from a break-up or divorce, from moving to a new city and losing connections to our old community, from losing a job, having to change careers to loss of physical health or abilities. Grief can happen for so many reasons and if we don't take the time to acknowledge it and allow ourselves to feel our grief, we can end up being affected physically, emotionally and in our relationships and ability to thrive. Many people are afraid to accept feelings of loss or grief because they worry they won't be able to manage or recover from them if they allow the feelings to come up. This misconception unfortunately keeps people holding grief for years, decades and sometimes a lifetime. Grief is not something we face alone and support is a key part of moving forward.
